Here we go, more work and more work. I think I've been avoiding posting about it or writing about it as there is so much to get done and it's all in that messy phase where it feels like it will never reach any kind of end.
So rather than try to explain all that seems to be happening in the world of A New Leaf Media as we prepare for The Pundit, our publication which will be covering the Melbourne International Film Festival, here's a few brief points for y'all.
* Yes, we're still taking a few writers. Want to review some films or write some film related articles? Email myself or Tim (if you don't have our emails just check out the website).
* Speaking of websites, our new central one is up and running. Check out Tim's great work at http://www.anewleaf.com.au
* Ashamed you shall find me. We've given in to MySpace and put pages up for A New Leaf Media and the National Student Media Conference:
www.myspace.com/anewleafmedia
www.myspace.com/nsemc
I blame Reichel and Penny, who insisted. Truth be told, we've already met a bunch of new publications we didn't know about and been contacted by heaps of people interested in the conference. Yes you two, you were right... we shoulda done it ages ago.

How official
Who has an office? I do, thats who! A New Leaf Media has been accepted into the Slingshot program in North Fitzroy and given an Incubator space... meaning we have a subsidised office from which to conduct our 9-5 goings on. Now that we are set to be building from The Pun and getting new projects underway (more news on that soon) it is the perfect timing to have facilities to use which are actually dedicated to making our magazine.
After moving everything in to the space, I feel like we arent just getting everything done ad hoc, we now have to live up to the space and use our time and the office to create the best work possible. My contract at the council is finished (thank God) and now I just have to get on with making the most of my own media business.
Let the hard work begin!
